Thai Vietjet chooses iPort Departure Control System powered by Travelport and Res2

Travelport, a global technology company that powers travel technology for airline industry worldwide, and Res2, a Netherlands based departure control system provider and airport automation leader, today announced a new multi-year agreement with Thai Vietjet, a leading low-cost airline from Thailand with flights to destinations across Asia-Pacific. Under the agreement, the airline will be using iPort DCS (Departure Control System) to manage passenger handling, baggage, boarding, and enhance its customer experience with the automation enabled by iPort.

The innovative and end-to-end services of iPort DCS increases efficiency in the check-in and boarding, delivery full scale self-services capacity, ensure security and immigration regulatory are compliance, reduced wait times, and improved accuracy information management. By automating many of the routine tasks associated with check-in and boarding, the system can enable airlines to operate more efficiently and reduce costs. Additionally, we will be implementing ancillary sales, weight and balance and biometric self-boarding. Lastly. Most importantly, by providing real-time information to airline staff, the system improve communication and provide a better overall customer experience.
